Firat is a passionate chef with a background in sociology and film studies. After establishing and running his own successful translating business during years, he decided to follow his lifelong passion, which was COOKING.

He spent years in front of a screen at a desk. Eventually, he decided to make a transition to a new country and career.

Firat has trained extensively as a professional chef in Turkey, as well as a barista (SCA) in Italy and a yoga teacher (200-YTT) in India. He has worked as a chef at various high-street cafe chains in London, honing his skills and developing a unique culinary style that blends traditional Turkish flavors with contemporary European cuisine. He also has an IWC certificate and a tremendous enthusiasm to learn more about wine.

As the Co-owner of the Tolpuddle Cafe, Firat is committed to using the freshest, locally sourced ingredients to create delicious, wholesome dishes that reflect his love of food and passion for cooking.
