On 12 September, we had the pleasure of welcoming Jem and the 50/50 community to Tolpuddle Cafe for a special Walk & Brunch in Caledonian Park.
The idea behind 50/50 is simple but lovely: bringing together women from different generations to meet, connect and enjoy new experiences together. It felt like a natural fit for Tolpuddle and the community spirit we've always wanted the café to have.
The event was organised by Jem Erith, founder of 50/50, a community bringing women from different generations together through shared experiences, conversation and new connections.

A morning of walking, conversation and brunch bringing women together in and around Caledonian Park.
A Morning in Caledonian Park
The group started their morning with a walk before joining us at Tolpuddle Cafe for brunch.
We prepared a dedicated space for the group, with Jem arriving beforehand to add some 50/50 touches to the tables and get everything ready for her guests.
For larger groups, we always try to make things as relaxed as possible while ensuring everyone can enjoy their food together.
More Than Just a Café
Events like this are exactly why we love being part of Caledonian Park.
Since opening Tolpuddle Cafe, we've wanted it to be more than somewhere to grab a coffee. From local groups and family celebrations to community meet-ups and walks, we love seeing the café used as a place where people can come together.
